PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey is one of only six American governors with an annual salary of less than $100,000 based on figures from valuewalk.com.

Ducey’s low salary runs in harmony with nationwide numbers that show Republican governors average less than their Democratic counterparts.

Republicans average $128,327 in annual salary, which is over $30,000 more than Ducey’s salary listed at $95,000.

Both figures pale in comparison to Democrats who average $146,221.

Throughout the country there are 33 Republican governors, 16 Democrats and one Independent. This year there are 36 gubernatorial seats up for grabs.

Governor Ducey was elected in 2014 and sworn in early in 2015. He will be be up for re-election in November of 2018.
