Most people who have flown on an airplane know that it is not always a smooth ride — literally.
Between long security lines, flight delays and waits on the tarmac, flying can sometimes be as frustrating as it is convenient.
But three men decided to make the best of their flight delay and put on a little show for their fellow flyers.
Musicians Daoirí Farrell, Geoff Kinsella and Robbie Walsh were about to board a flight when they arrived to the airport and learned it was going to be delayed — by nearly two hours.
“We could tell that everyone was a little bit unhappy about this and Geoff (the banjo player in the video) suggested that we play a bit of a music session,” said the video’s description.
“He played a set of traditional Irish dance tunes on the banjo and I (Daoiri Farrell) backed him on the Bouzouki. Robbie Walsh (Bodhran Player) then joined us and we had the attention of everyone in the room immediately,” it added.
So the men started to play The Galway Girl.
Needless to say, the performance was well received.
