PHOENIX — It won’t shock many people if Arizona, which usually votes for the Republican candidate in presidential elections, is called a conservative state.
With such a state comes conservative cities. One not only tops all of them in Arizona, but every other in the nation.
Mesa, Arizona, was named the most conservative city in the United States by Pew Research Center.
The full finding will appear in an upcoming issue of the American Political Science Review.
Just two years ago, Mesa also earned the title on a study conducted by UCLA and MIT, based on the policies enacted with the liberal-conservative positions of their citizens on national policy issues.
Jacksonville, Florida, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Virginia Beach, Virginia and Oklahoma City join Mesa in the top-five.
