PHOENIX — As sure as God made green apples, being a Chicago Cubs fan is about to get a whole lot more expensive.
Even though Cubs fans get to rejoice in the fact that their team won the World Series for the first time in 108 years — yes, 108 years — taking home the Commissioner’s Trophy comes at a price.

If you’re looking to save some money while seeing a different Chicago baseball team play, an average spring training ticket to see the Chicago White Sox — who won the World Series in 2005 — will cost about $56, the 10th cheapest in the league.
But if you’re really looking to save your pennies while enjoying a day at the ballpark, go see the Pittsburgh Pirates, the team that took home the honor of the cheapest average spring training ticket at just $44.99. Of course, the plane ticket to get to Florida will cost a little extra.
