Tim Curry, legendary actor of ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ fame, dies at 80

Legendary actor Tim Curry of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” fame has died at age 80, according to TMZ.

Curry died Tuesday night at his home in Los Angeles, the outlet reported.

No official cause of death has been announced, and law enforcement officials have said they do not suspect foul play.

Curry had faced severe health challenges since suffering a major stroke in 2012.

His career spanned more than five decades, and he built a name for himself playing memorable villains and eccentric comedic roles.

In addition to playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult classic, Curry played Wadsworth in the 1985 film “Clue,” Rooster Hannigan in the 1982 film “Annie” and Pennywise the Clown in the 1990 TV miniseries based on Stephen King’s “It.”
