Senator Lindsey Graham drops out of presidential race

The Republican Party has lost another candidate as Senator Lindsey Graham has decided to end his run for president.

In a video on his website Graham made the message known and gave a few remarks.

“Today I’m suspending my campaign for president,” Graham said. “I want to thank everyone who has taken this journey with me. You have honored me with your support.”

Graham also mentioned he believed in his campaign that hit on what’s best for the people. He had run “a campaign we can be proud of” that was focused on the nation’s security.

In recent polls Graham was registering at less than one percent. The Republican Party has had four debates and Graham was never able to crack the main stage.

One of Graham’s biggest supporters was Arizona’s John McCain.

Senator McCain released a statement Monday about Graham.

“With Senator Lindsey Graham’s announcement, Republicans lost our most qualified, thoughtful, fearless and honest presidential candidate, not to mention the candidate with the best (and it seemed sometimes the only) sense of humor.”

McCain understands Graham’s reasoning for the suspension of the campaign and is proud of him.
