Social media helped the country stars who were at the deadly Las Vegas concert get word to family, friends and fans that they were all right and were praying for the city.

Stars who performed at the three-day Route 91 Harvest Festival on the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday night shared their concern for victims and gratitude to first responders, after a gunman killed more than 50.

Over 500 were also injured in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

The suspect, Stephen Paddock, 64, was found dead by a Las Vegas SWAT team in a Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino room, across the street from the festival.

While most of the performers shared their shock and sympathies, in some instances, singers broke the news to their fans.

Jake Owen, who performed Sunday, posted one of the earliest tweets of the tragedy.

He followed up with a vivid description of the chaos.

Luke Combs, who had played earlier, alerted his followers to the seriousness of the situation.

Jason Aldean was onstage when the shooting began on the famous Strip, bullets flying from across the street at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. His set began about a half-hour beforehand.

He made his way to safety quickly.

Tyler Reeve, who also performed on the main stage Sunday, said in an online post he was “absolutely terrified”.

After his initial tweet, Combs later let fans know he was all right.
