AZ Political Podcast: Pollster Mike Noble on the Arizona GOP’s chances of unseating Hobbs
Republican Rep. David Schweikert should suspend his campaign for governor and endorse colleague Andy Biggs, pollster Mike Noble suggests in the latest AZ Political Podcast.

Republican Congressman David Schweikert should suspend his campaign for governor, endorse fellow Congressman Andy Biggs, and ask for the lieutenant governor nomination. Schweikert should do all this in order to save the GOP’s chances of wresting the Governor’s office from Democrat Katie Hobbs.
That’s what pollster Mike Noble, my guest on the AZ Political Podcast, suggests. End the Republican infighting now in order to have a fighting chance in at least one uphill political battle that Republicans will be facing this year.
To back this idea of Republicans running uphill, Mike, the founder and CEO of Noble Predictive Insights, drops a pretty startling statistic on us: Republicans enjoy an almost seven-and-a-half-point registration advantage in Arizona, yet his firm’s polling shows that Arizona voters say they’re more likely to vote for a Democratic candidate than a Republican one.
Wow. Just wow.
A likely factor in that is polling that shows President Donald Trump is “underwater” in his favorability among Arizona voters.
We talk about other numbers as well, including the big fundraising numbers Sen. Mark Kelly has seen this year. Arizona’s senior US senator raised $13 million in the first three months of 2026 — a year in which he’s not even running. In fact, he won’t be up for reelection for another two-and-a-half years.
Of course, Kelly, who has more than $22 million on hand, is likely accumulating this cash for a different election that’ll be held in 2028: the one for President of the United States.
Speaking of Arizona Democratic senators with potential presidential prospects, Mike and I talk about whether Sen. Ruben Gallego’s friendship with accused rapist (and now-former congressman) Eric Swalwell has turned Gallego’s POTUS possibilities from a pipe dream into a nightmare.
Our conclusion? Well… you’ll have to watch the podcast to find out.

Polling?
As we have seen in the past, is not always reliable.
If we can have a clean, fair election, Hobbs will lose in a landslide. This time she is not overseeing an election she is running in.
Fantastic! My vote against Hobbs will cancel yours out. Hobbs is a moron. She can't get this water rights deal done because her campaign is financed by California and it represents a conflict of interest. If you don't want Biggs to have a chance, the Dems need to find better candidates that are morons (Republicans, too).
Other than among MAGA lost causes, The Idiot is toxic in 2026, and Biggs is handcuffed to him. The Dems could run a golden retriever against Biggs and still win the Dem and Indy vote.
