President Donald Trump planned to visit storm-ravaged Texas on Tuesday, but the state’s governor said the site hasn’t been determined yet.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott told “CBS This Morning” that the president “most likely will be going closer to where the hurricane hit land.”
Hurricane Harvey blasted onto southeastern Texas late Friday as a Category 4 storm, making landfall near Corpus Christie. Weather experts were predicting as much as 50 inches of rain to fall in spots along the storm’s path.
Harvey, which swept inland to Houston, Austin and San Antonio, was downgraded to a tropical storm on Saturday.

Harvey is the first major natural disaster of Trump’s presidency and a significant test for a White House that has seen staff members depart amidst infighting.
Trump, who spent most of the weekend at the presidential retreat at Camp David, Maryland, convened a Cabinet meeting by telephone Sunday which included Vice President Mike Pence.
He tweeted a promise of a Texas visit “as soon as that trip can be made without causing disruption” later announced by the White
House as Tuesday.
Trump also issued a federal emergency declaration Monday for Louisiana as Harvey dumped heavy bands of rain on that state.
The emergency declaration initially covered five parishes in southwest Louisiana: Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis and Vermillion.

His divisive rhetoric obviously created a low-pressure system in the Gulf. ;-)
And we are waiting for the fake news to blame President Trump.
Cue up in 3 - 2 - 1. Go
And he'd better make comments on this event in the precise tone and on the exact schedule that I expect. Whaa!
