Main Street Minute: Valley’s Fiesta, Cactus bowls will greet sellout crowds

• You’ll be paying top dollar if you want into this weekend’s Battlefrog Fiesta Bowl or Motel Six Cactus Bowl. The Phoenix Business Journal reported that organizers said Friday’s Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium was sold out. Saturday’s Cactus Bowl, featuring Arizona State University and West Virginia at Chase Field in Phoenix, was expected to sell out as well.

• Scottsdale was rated among the top 10 American cities to start up a company outside of California’s Silicon Valley or New York. The No. 8 ranking comes from San Francisco-based business research group Data Fox. Scottsdale was singled out for its partnership with Arizona State University. Cambridge, Massachusetts was No. 1.

• A new medical marijuana dispensary is on its way to Tempe. Cannabis industry group American Green said a client has received zoning clearance from the city. The group did not release information on the location or when the shop might open.
