PHOENIX — Arizona Representative Raúl Grijalva in a press release on Saturday morning said that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Grijalva, in a statement, said he feels fine, has no symptoms and will be self-isolating in quarantine.

While not blaming anyone directly, Grijalva scolded Republicans saying this week has shown some members of Congress don’t take the crisis seriously.

“Numerous Republican members routinely strut around the Capitol without a mask to selfishly make a political statement at the expense of their colleagues, staff, and their families,” Grijalva said in the press release.

“Stopping the spread of a deadly virus should not be a partisan issue.”

Grijalva represents Arizona’s third congressional district.
