Scottsdale Fire Department crews worked quickly to neutralize a small brush fire near TPC Scottsdale on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Firefighters responded around 3:30 p.m. to find roughly one-fourth acre of desert vegetation burning near WestWorld in Scottsdale, just east of the golf course, according to Scottsdale FD.

Crews were able to quickly respond because four brush trucks were stationed throughout the city during the holiday weekend. One arrived within two minutes after being alerted to the blaze.

Fire command determined one crew was enough to handle operations, and it will remain stationed there to ensure danger doesn’t pop back up.

The incident is under investigation.
