Valley sees measurable rain return following brief break

PHOENIX  — Measurable rain and wet weather returned to the Valley on Saturday afternoon following a brief break from activity on Friday.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which the National Weather Service (NWS) uses for official rain readings, saw up to 0.36 inches of rain around 10 p.m.

Other East Valley cities, such as Gilbert, saw 0.55 inches fall in parts of the area, while parts of Mesa and Tempe saw 0.51 inches each.

Rain returned throughout the Valley after seeing 0.37 inches of rain Monday through Thursday.

The NWS forecasted rain and possibly a few thunderstorms throughout Phoenix around 2:50 p.m.

How long will wet weather in Phoenix last?

Phoenix will see a 20% chance of rain and storms continue into Sunday morning, according to NWS.

Mostly clear skies and temperatures are expected to range in the 70s throughout Thanksgiving week.
