The National Weather Service Phoenix issued a dust advisory amid storms in the East Valley on Thursday evening.
The advisory was in effect through 6 p.m. MST for Interstate-10, Loop 202 and Highway 347 around Chandler.
A Dust Advisory has been issued for I-10, Loop-202, and Highway 347 until 6:00 pm MST.

The NWS forecast called wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour along with brief reduced visibility under one mile with dense blowing dust causing potentially hazardous driving conditions. There has been heavy rain detected on Highway 347, as well.
The NWS additionally called for a special weather statement for Chandler, Sun Lakes and Casa Blanca until 6:15 p.m. MST with possible pea-sized hail conditions.
