US 60 closed briefly in both directions after crash in far East Valley

PHOENIX – US 60 was briefly closed in both directions Thursday morning after a collision in the far East Valley, authorities said.

The Arizona Department of Transportation announced the closure around 9:25 a.m. and said was lifted about 15 minutes later.

The crash site was at milepost 202 near Mountainbrook Drive in Gold Canyon.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.

Gold Canyon is a Pinal County community east of Apache Junction.
