NB State Route 347 reopens after crash involving pesticide truck south of metro Phoenix

PHOENIX – Northbound State Route 347 was closed for over an hour Friday morning after a crash involving a pesticide truck south of metro Phoenix, authorities said.

A box truck and a semi-truck hauling two trailers collided at Riggs Road around 8:45 a.m., causing unspecified injuries, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The impact caused the box truck, which was carrying pesticide, to roll over.

Where was State Route 347 closed?

Northbound SR 347 was closed temporarily at Casa Blanca Road, between Maricopa and Chandler, while crews worked to clear the roadway.

Traffic started getting through again around 10 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
