Authorities seek help finding vehicle from Scottsdale hit-and-run collision

PHOENIX – Authorities are seeking help finding the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a pedestrian in Scottsdale on Wednesday morning.

A woman was crossing Scottsdale Road midblock near Bellview Street, which is just south of McDowell Road, when she was hit around 4:15 a.m., according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

She was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were initially described as life-threatening.

Southbound Scottsdale Road was closed from Bellview Street to Roosevelt Street for several hours while the Vehicle Crimes and Reconstruction Unit conducted its investigation. The roadway reopened around 8:30 a.m.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run collision is asked to call the Scottsdale PD tip line at 480-312-TIPS (8477).
