PHOENIX – Scottsdale Road reopened in south Scottsdale several hours after a deadly crash on Friday morning, authorities said.
A vehicle crashed into a pole near Windsor Avenue, south of Thomas Road, a little before 3 a.m., according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
The driver, whose name was not released, died after being taken to a hospital.
Both directions of Scottsdale Road were closed until around 6:40 a.m., police said.
Morning commuters were advised to use Hayden Road or Miller Road to avoid the closure.
