Southbound SR 87 restricted north of Fountain Hills for resurfacing

Southbound State Route 87 north of Fountain Hills will be narrowed to one lane beginning Monday morning for scheduled pavement resurfacing.

PHOENIX — Southbound State Route 87 north of Fountain Hills will be narrowed to one lane beginning Monday morning for scheduled pavement resurfacing, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The three-mile stretch between Vista Del Oro and Fort McDowell roads will be restricted Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., ADOT said.

Drivers are advised to prepare for longer travel times and slower traffic during the week’s resurfacing process.

Additionally, ADOT said some turning lanes in the stretch will be periodically closed during the scheduled work.
