The 3-mile closure is required for weekend work on a widening project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory for Feb. 13-15.
In addition to the mainline closure, the eastbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 75th, 67th and 59th avenues will be off limits. Furthermore, the westbound Loop 101 HOV lane will be closed at times between 35th and 51st avenues due to the project.
