Paving project to affect traffic on US 93 north of Wickenburg

Drivers using the US 93 highway north of Wickenburg should expect nighttime restrictions and delays for a paving project beginning on Monday, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Drivers using the US 93 highway north of Wickenburg should expect nighttime restrictions and delays for a paving project beginning on Monday, authorities said. 

The project will improve a 16-mile stretch of the highway, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Restrictions will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday through Friday, and will affect the highway between mileposts 156-172, which is 20 miles north of Wickenburg.

The highway will be limited to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car guiding traffic.

How long is the US 93 project is expected to last?

The project is expected to continue through spring 2027.
