Westbound Interstate 10 south of metro Phoenix reopens after crash

PHOENIX – Interstate 10 has reopened after a crash that led to a closure south of metro Phoenix on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Westbound I-10 traffic was fully blocked starting around 8:30 a.m. due to a collision at milepost 184 near Sacaton, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Vehicles were forced to take the exit for State Routes 187 and 387 while the freeway was closed, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Westbound I-10 reopened around 11 a.m., ADOT said.

The eastbound lanes were not impacted by the crash, which involved two commercial vehicles and resulted in minor injuries, DPS said.
