PHOENIX — Eastbound Loop 202 was reopened after it was closed early Saturday morning in Mesa due to a crash, authorities said.

The collision occurred near McDowell Road, leading to officials diverting traffic off the freeway at Gilbert Road, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the crash involved two vehicles, but did not know if any occupants sustained injuries.

ADOT confirmed to KTAR News 92.3 FM that the closure ran from 2:43 a.m. to 7:47 a.m.

The westbound lanes remained open throughout the closure.
