Global data center giant pays $300 million for land in East Valley
NTT Data Group Corp. just closed on 173 acres of east Mesa land, paying a record $300 million to build a huge data center on the parcel.

Tokyo-based NTT Data Group Corp. just closed on 173 acres of vacant land in east Mesa, paying a record $300 million for the parcel on which it plans to build a huge data center.
The land is at the northeast corner of Pecos and Crismon roads on the former GM Proving Grounds, which is owned by Mesa BA Land LLC and Pacific Proving LLC, which in turn are owned by Levine Investments and Andrew Cohn.
Mesa City Council approved a zoning case last August for the former GM Proving Grounds property to pave the way for a data center that could include seven data halls with 1.7 million square feet, a 100,000-square-foot warehouse and a 106,000-square-foot, two-story office building. The exact scope of NTT’s project is not yet known.

Newsflash, I didn't mention anyone, don't even know who NTT is. I'm just going off what is generally publicly available.
While NTT isn't using as much water they must be using more electricity as I know using refrigerated air is more expensive than evaporative air. I don't know how much water these centers use.
Bottom line is some are still using evap cooling. If we don't run out of water we will run out of power without new nuclear power plants.
Newsflash, NTT does not use evaporative cooling. New data centers being built here use air cooled chillers in a closed loop. Only META is using evaporative cooling in their new build.
I commend you for trying to do your part.
But realize a single large data center can consume 1-4 million gallons per DAY.
At 1 million gallons a day it would take 1.5 minutes to consume 1000 gallons.
