Arizona’s 1st Micro Center set to open in Phoenix: Here’s what we know

PHOENIX – Tech lovers, rejoice! Arizona’s first Micro Center is about to open in Phoenix.

After several VIP preview days, the computer and tech superstore and showroom will hold a grand opening celebration next Friday (Nov. 7) in the Arcadia Crossing shopping center on the southeast corner of 44th Street and Thomas Road (4531 E. Thomas Road). Doors will open at 10 a.m.

The festivities will include special discounts, giveaways, demos and tech influencer appearances throughout the day. Additionally, companies such as AMD, Intel, NVIDIA and MSI will be on hand with vendor booths.

What is Micro Center known for?

Micro Center bills itself as a one-stop shop for all tech needs with an expert staff. The 35,000-square-foot Phoenix location will keep over 20,000 items in stock.

Shoppers who just want their stuff without browsing the aisles will be able place orders online for in-store pickup, with in-stock items typically ready within 18 minutes.

The store’s selection includes TVs, computer systems and components, gaming gear and electronics sought by IT professionals, developers, engineers and DIY enthusiasts.

The company opened its first store in Columbus, Ohio, in 1980. The business expanded over the years to include an extensive online operation along with over two dozen stores nationwide.
