The Pemberton set to reopen in downtown Phoenix a year after closing

PHOENIX — The Pemberton, a creative and cultural hub with food and drink options in downtown Phoenix, will reopen next month after closing down a year ago.

The venue at Second and Moreland streets, near the Roosevelt Row Arts District, will hold a grand reopening event on March 14 after undergoing a complete makeover.

The Pemberton debuted the first time in February 2021 but closed three years later.

“I love Phoenix, I love the Valley, I love Arizona and I wanted to provide a ‘gift’ to the community – a place where everyone feels welcome and all walks of life can enjoy and escape the negativity in the world,” owner Jonathon Vento said in a press release Wednesday.

What will The Pemberton offer after redevelopment?

The redeveloped complex will feature 10 outdoor bars with distinct themes, including a Palm Springs trailer, an Italian beach club and a French park bistro.

Other themes include the 1980s New York music scene, Día De Los Muertos, an Icelandic village and a Japanese garden.

Artwork from more than 100 artists will be displayed throughout the tree-filled property, which will host live music throughout the week.

Food items such as elote deviled eggs, pretzel bites, flatbreads and sliders will be served throughout the different bar areas.

Visitors must be 21 and older to enter after 8 p.m.
