The Mick Brasserie, a contemporary take on a classic French eatery, is set to open its second Valley location in Gilbert early next year.

Schillne Retail Team of ORION Investment Real Estate secured a lease for the eatery at Higley Commons, a mixed-use development located off Higley and Ray roads. The community has 276 multifamily homes and features ground-floor retail.

The restaurant is inspired by art, travel and getting together to enjoy food. Additionally, its award-winning wine program makes sure to select wines from France and Europe that compliments the menu’s flavors.

“From the beginning, The Mick was envisioned as a neighborhood gathering place where guests could connect over great food, wine and hospitality. We’ve been incredibly grateful for the support in Scottsdale and are thrilled to become part of the Gilbert community,” John Krause and Chef Brent Menke said in a news release.

Its first location is off Hayden and Mountain View roads and is known for having a warm and lively atmosphere. The Gilbert restaurant will be 4,400 square feet and have a patio.

“(The Mick’s) blend of culinary excellence, genuine hospitality and thoughtfully curated events has made it one of the Valley’s most sought-after dining destinations,” ORION Investment Real Estate Senior Vice President Carol Schillne said. “Higley Commons presents an incredible opportunity to introduce that same energy and experience to Gilbert.”
