Old Town Tortilla Factory closes for good after 30 years in Scottsdale

The Old Town Tortilla Factory, a Scottsdale fixture for 30 years, has closed for good.

“Old Town Tortilla Factory has decided to close after three decades of serving Scottsdale! It is with much gratitude that we say goodbye to our restaurant that has been a gathering place for celebrations, special occasions, family dinners, date nights and countless memories,” the business announced on social media Friday.

The Old Town Tortilla Factory was built from a 75-year-old adobe home near 69th and Main streets, just south of Indian School Road.

Often described as “a hidden gem,” the restaurant was known for its Southwestern and Mexican fare, house-made flavored tortillas, wide selection of tequila and shaded 1,400-square-foot patio.

In the farewell announcement, ownership hinted at a future venture.

“It is an end of an era and stay tuned for what is next,” the message said.
