The Melting Pot in Phoenix’s Ahwatukee area turned off its burners and hung up its skinny forks for good after 26 years.

Sunday was the last day of business for the fondue restaurant on Ray Road near 39th Street.

The location closed because of the owner’s death, and there are no plans to reopen it, according to a message on the company’s website.

There is now only one Melting Pot left in Arizona, at 19420 N. 59th Ave. south of the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway in Glendale.

A Scottsdale location closed in 2019 after 22 years.

The Florida-based chain has restaurants in more than 30 states and Canada.
