Birdcall, a Colorado-born fast casual brand, is planning a massive expansion across the Phoenix metro area over the next few years.

The restaurant, known for its chicken sandwiches, tenders, tater tots and handspun milkshakes, plans to open 5-7 new locations throughout the Valley, including North Phoenix, Scottsdale, East Mesa, Queen Creek and Gilbert.

Birdcall currently has two locations (Central Phoenix and SanTan Village in Gilbert) in the Valley.

“Phoenix has proven to be an incredibly strong market for Birdcall, and we see tremendous opportunity to continue growing our footprint throughout the Valley,” Birdcall CEO Mark Lohmann said in a press release. “The communities we’re targeting are vibrant, fast-growing and aligned with the type of neighborhoods where Birdcall thrives.

“We’re excited to introduce more guests across the metro area to our food, hospitality and community-focused brand experience.”

Each expansion restaurant will continue to feature Birdcall’s made-to-order menu with eight signature chicken sandwiches, chef-inspired salads, house-made sauces and dressings, draft beer and Happy Hour specials.

The Colorado-born establishment will also continue its dedication to the community through meal donations, school partnerships and fundraiser nights.

“As we continue expanding across the Phoenix area, we want every Birdcall restaurant to feel like a true neighborhood gathering place,” Justin Livingston, Birdcall’s vice president of franchise development, said. “We’re passionate about building meaningful connections within the communities we join and creating restaurants that people are excited to support and return to regularly.”

Birdcall currently has 17 restaurants across Colorado, Arizona and Texas, with almost 20 more locations in development stages. The brand has a goal of growing to as many as 200 locations nationwide by the end of 2028.
