Bagelfeld’s set to reopen Phoenix location 4 months after sustaining fire damage

Bagelfeld’s is set to reopen its Phoenix location Wednesday, four months after a fire forced it to close for repairs.

The family-owned bagel shop at Thomas Road and 30th Street has been closed since April 23, when a fire broke out in the building’s roof.

The restaurant plans to reopen on a limited basis.

It will be open only Wednesdays-Saturdays until it can add enough staff to operate on Sundays and Tuesdays. Additionally, the bagel shop will not take online orders for the first week.

Charles Blonkenfeld opened the Thomas Road Bagelfeld’s in 2020 after he started making bagels to sell at local farmers markets.

A second location opened at Rural and Baseline roads in Tempe in January of this year.
