Transformational Teravalis development in Buckeye invites public to grand opening of 1st village

PHOENIX – Teravalis, the transformational master-planned community taking shape in the West Valley, is inviting the public and prospective homebuyers to a grand opening event for its first village.

Floreo Fest at Teravalis is a free celebration set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Attendees are being asked to RSVP online so organizers know what to expect, but walk-ins are welcome.

Visitors can park at 29260 W. Floreo Drive, just east of Sun Valley Parkway in north Buckeye, before hopping on a shuttle to tour the village of Floreo.

Twenty model homes from seven homebuilders will be open during the family-friendly event, which will also feature food, live music and art, interactive experiences and more.

The models range from 1,232 to 2,712 square feet with prices starting in the $300,000s.

How big is the Teravalis master-planned community in Buckeye?

Floreo has room for more than 8,000 homes across 3,000 acres of land, with more than 600 acres reserved for open space.

It’s just the first phase of Howard Hughes Communities’ ambitious Teravalis project, which is transforming 37,000 acres of undeveloped land west of the White Tank Mountains, along the planned Interstate 11 corridor.

Construction started in October 2022 and the first model homes, from builder Century Communities, opened in August.

Arizona’s largest master-planned community, Teravalis will eventually have up to 100,000 homes along with 55 million square feet of commercial development, with over 7,000 acres of open space.

The amenities will include the Echo Community Center, which is currently under construction, along with multiple parks, trails, sports courts and swimming pools.

If it draws the projected 300,000 residents, Buckeye will become Arizona’s fourth-largest city by population behind Phoenix, Tucson and Mesa.
