PHOENIX — A home in Sedona that is known as “Luna Rossa” or “Red Moon” was recently put on the market for almost $6 million.

The west Sedona residence, which is located at 35 Garnet Hill Dr., spans 7,343 square feet and consists of seven bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

The home was designed by architect Aldo Andreoli and is considered a modern masterpiece. The home touts a sweeping curved form and  sculptural presence that integrates into the red rock landscape.

“‘Luna Rossa’ reflects both its distinctive half-moon shape and the surrounding red rock formations, making it feel romantic yet grounded, bold yet serene,” Jeanette Sauer, a global real estate advisor for Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, said in a news release.

The home was shaped to follow the natural contours of the land. The design offers expansive glass walls that provide panoramic canyon views from almost every room in the house.

Water features, including reflective pools, are found both inside and outside the residence.

Andreoli drew from his Italian roots, designing the home with a loft-like flow that is anchored by an atrium and accented by custom Italian-crafted doors and mosaic tile elements.

Some homes transcend architecture and become part of Sedona’s cultural and design legacy. This striking modern residence, that overlooks Boynton Canyon, is definitely one of those rare properties,” Ed Pennington, another global real estate advisor for Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, said.
