PHOENIX — Architectural firm Olson Kundig has been brought on to design new condos within Ascent at The Phoenician, a luxury resort community alongside Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale.
Teaming up with developer Replay Destinations, Summit by Olson Kundig will help bring 63 new luxury condos to The Phoenician as part of its final phase of development at the property, which began in 2020. Construction is expected to begin in the summer with completion by late 2027.
“Our design integrates with the mountain landscape, where red sandstone meets the open sky,” Olson Kundig owner Kirsten Ring Murray said in a press release.
“Materials such as local stone anchor the structure to its Camelback Mountain setting, while refined metal screens respond to the shifting desert light, creating an ever-evolving architectural expression. This is a commanding project where nature and design come together to celebrate the spirit of the desert, and one that we are proud to realize for Replay Destinations.”
What amenities are at the new Scottsdale condos?
The condos range from one to three bedroom homes over 1,500 to over 4,800 square feet. Prices for condos start at $2 million with penthouses ranging from $7 million to over $10 million.
The kitchens feature wood cabinets and quartz countertops with optional upgrades for pantries, small appliance garages and wine fridges.
Summit by Olson Kundig is next to Ascent’s Mountain Club, which features a pool, fitness and movement rooms, great room, games room and kitchen.
