Arizona’s 1st JdV and Unscripted Hyatt hotels open in East Valley

A Phoenix-based hospitality firm is expanding its Valley footprint with the opening of two new-to-market hotel concepts in Scottsdale and Mesa.

Hospitality Capital Partners (HCP) announced the debut of Hotel Solaya JdV by Hyatt in Old Town Scottsdale and The 233 Suites Unscripted by Hyatt in downtown Mesa. The properties are highlighted as the first JdV by Hyatt and Unscripted by Hyatt in Arizona.

With the additions, HCP now manages more than 1,500 rooms across the state.

What to know about Hotel Solaya JdV in Scottsdale

Hotel Solaya is located on a 6-acre site in Scottsdale’s Civic Center Park, located right next to the city’s Old Town dining and nightlife district.

The 194-room lifestyle resort recently underwent a $17.6 million renovation. The property previously operated as The Monarch and The Saguaro Scottsdale.

The extensive transformation features refreshed guest rooms, art-forward common spaces, a revamped outdoor pool area and upgraded wellness and spa amenities.

The property also includes more than 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, alongside multiple new on-site dining options, including Common Ground Bistro and Ella on the Park.

What to know about the 233 Suites Unscripted in Mesa

Located at 233 E. Main Street, the 233 Suites Unscripted is an extended-stay hotel built within a new six-story, mixed-use development in downtown Mesa.

The hotel features 76 suite-style rooms equipped with full kitchens.

The building also introduces 13,000 square feet of Class A office space and several dining spots, including Crust Simply Italian, Bombilina’s pastry shop and a speakeasy opening later this year.

The property sits within walking distance of Arizona State University’s East Valley campus and its new film school.

Driving regional momentum

HCP leadership noted that both locations leverage the distinct economic growth happening in different corners of the East Valley.

“From the energy and character of Old Town Scottsdale to the continued growth and revitalization happening in downtown Mesa, both properties are exceptionally positioned to serve visitors while contributing to the momentum we continue to see across the region,” Keith Mishkin, co-managing partner of HCP, said in a news release.

Parimal “Primo” Parmar, co-managing partner of HCP, added that the state’s strength as a business and tourism hub creates long-term value for the properties.
