Is there still time to register to vote in Arizona primary election?

Monday (June 22) is the voter registration deadline for Arizona residents who want to cast a ballot in the upcoming primary election.

Early voting and drop box locations for the July 21 primary open Wednesday, the same day mail ballots are sent to members of the Active Early Voting List.

Early ballots should be put in the mail by July 14 to ensure they count. Ballots that arrive at county elections offices after 7 p.m. on Election Day are not counted.

Registered voters have until July 10 to request a replacement ballot by mail.

Can Arizonans with unaffiliated registration vote in primary?

Voters registered with a state-recognized party will have candidates from that party on their primary ballots.

However, Arizona voters don’t have to be registered with a party to participate in the primary. Unaffiliated voters can request a primary ballot for one of the parties through their county recorder’s office.
