PHOENIX — Arizona agencies are finalizing their budgets for next year – and they’re bracing for a funding squeeze.

ABC15 has learned Gov. Katie Hobbs’ office has asked agencies to sharply limit any requests for additional money from the state’s general fund. Her budget director, Ben Henderson, sent Cabinet members a memo last month asking agencies to keep increases below 2%, citing a looming “cliff in federal funding unlike anything in recent history.”

“This is not the year to ask for significant investments from the General Fund,” he wrote.

Senate Majority Leader John Kavanagh told ABC15 he welcomes Hobbs’ budget restrictions, saying the governor is “steering her ship in the right direction.”

It has been stated many times in recent years by people far more astute than I: UC1, his equally fascist-minded advisors and his yes-people cabinet and congressional leaders are marching steadily along to the Hitler playbook. Anyone who cannot see it is either delusional or totally ignorant as to the history or (in the case of this and other online forums) are paid trolls.

Sure you are, until it goes unchecked and starts to infringe on your freedoms.

But that's what Trump wants, people to get accustomed to seeing troops in their cities, then when comes time to have an election to replace him it'll be too late to do anything about it, as he goes full dictator.

Bet you also like Trump using his position to threaten people using their first amendment rights and voicing a negative opinion of him. Never thought I'd see such a weak and incompetent person as president.

But you're good with it, you want your country to be a third world sh it hole. SMH

"This is what Americans want."

No it's not. Businesses are reporting less customers, areas are near ghost towns, and people are more afraid to go out now than before.

If you were truly an American, you'd be concerned about what Trump is doing instead of applauding it. You know most third world sh it holes use the military to patrol cities.
