Young boy found in Glendale apartment pool

A 3-year-old boy was pulled out of a pool at an apartment complex on Tuesday near 51st Ave. and Peoria.

Glendale Fire Cpt. Michael Young said the boy was able to get out of his apartment without his mother noticing.

“He was found by a maintenance worker who happened to be walking by and noticed his little brother standing at the pool and then noticed that the 3-year-old was floating face down in the pool,” he said. “It’s believed that their mother was asleep.”

The worker performed CPR and called 911.

The boy is in good condition.
