Woman hospitalized in critical condition after hit-and-run crash in Tempe

A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Tempe on Friday night, authorities said.
The woman was hit by a car while crossing the street against the light near Baseline Road and 48th Street around 10:45 p.m., according to the Tempe Police Department.
Following the crash, the car fled the area.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver involved in the crash has not been located, police said.

OMG, how stupid are these people?
They "know" she walked against the light? Did they review the cameras that quickly?
Even if so, let's see if one of the desk-jockeys at the DOT can cross one of these 7-lane stroads within the time allotted by the "please may I walk" light. If I was a betting person, I would bet that she got 3/4s across and traffic jack rabbit started.
