Vice presidential candidates Vance, Walz returning to Arizona 3 days before election

PHOENIX — Two days after their presidential counterparts are in the state, vice presidential candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz will campaign in Arizona on Saturday in likely their final visits of the campaign cycle.

Vance, the Republican nominee, will hold a rally in Scottsdale. He is expected to speak at 1:30 p.m. at Dillon Precision, near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Greenway Hayden Loop.

Walz won’t campaign in the Valley, but he will hit the state’s two other largest metro areas.

The Democratic nominee will first hold a rally in Flagstaff before making his way to Tucson. Times for both events have not been released.

The rallies will happen three days before Election Day. Arizona is expected to be one of several swing states that will determine the presidency.

Vice presidential candidates visits come after Harris, Trump in town

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are likely making their last campaign stops in Arizona on Thursday.

First, Harris will hold a midday rally Thursday at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, an outdoor concert venue in west Phoenix with room for 20,000 attendees.

The latest stop on the vice president’s “When We Vote We Win” tour will include a concert by Grammy Award-winning norteño band Los Tigres del Norte.

About five hours later, former President Trump will be interviewed by Tucker Carlson a few miles away in Glendale.

He’ll be sitting down with Carlson to cap the conservative political commentator’s nationwide tour at Desert Diamond Arena, which is about 6 miles from the site of Harris’ rally and has a similar capacity.
