Verrado Marketplace announces 5 new tenants as owners prepare for 2026 opening

Five new tenants were confirmed for Verrado Marketplace, a 500,000 square foot project expected to open in 2026 near Interstate 10 and Verrado Way.

PHOENIX — Five new tenants were confirmed for Verrado Marketplace, a 500,000 square foot project expected to open in 2026 near Interstate 10 and Verrado Way.

Sourdough & Co., See’s Candies, CityVet, Great Clips and NextCare will occupy 10,000 square feet of space in the project, according to a release by Vestar, the shopping center’s owner.

Target will be one of Verrado Marketplace's anchor stores.

Verrado Marketplace will be home to new Ross, Marshalls and HomeGoods locations.

Verrado Marketplace will have a Harkins Backlot, a new entertainment concept from the Valley movie theater chain.

Shoppers will be able to pick up groceries at the Safeway at Verrado Marketplace.

“Construction is moving quickly at Verrado Marketplace and we’re proud to welcome another round of desirable, specialty tenants to the project,” said Vice President of Leasing at Vestar Angie Kory. “With Buckeye being one of the fastest-growing areas in the nation and the project’s prime location, this is the ideal time for a development of this scale.”

What other stores are confirmed at Verrado Marketplace?

The diverse range of new stores confirmed to the lineup adds to a list that already includes Target, Harkins Backlot, Safeway, Ross, Marshalls and HomeGoods, ULTA Beauty, Famous Footwear, Buckle, Bath & Body Works and America’s Best Contacts and Glasses.

For foodies, Salt Tacos + Tequila, Shake Shack, Handel’s Ice Cream, Nekter Juice, Thai Chili, Einstein Bros. Bagles, Tropical Smoothie and Hawaiian Bros are among the businesses expected to open around May 2026.

What else should I know about Verrado Marketplace?

Owner and developer Vestar already operates multiple shopping centers across the Valley, including Desert Ridge Marketplace in Phoenix, Tempe Marketplace and Queen Creek Marketplace.

They are planning to bring amenities, including a splash pad, outdoor fireplaces, a live performance stage and a central lawn to the Buckeye marketplace center.

Construction has already began with foundation and framing in progress. Curb, gutter and roadway building began as well.
