PHOENIX — Goodyear is about to be the home of metro Phoenix’s largest speculative industrial building.

TRATT Properties recently celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the Elwood Logistics Center on Elwood Road near the junction of Interstate 10 and the Loop 303 and will soon begin vertical construction of the facility, Executive Managing Director of TRATT Properties David Mannion told KTAR News 92.3 FM.

Mannion said the project will culminate in a 1.3 million square foot building that will be an ideal distribution center for large e-commerce companies.

He added that businesses in the healthcare or precision manufacturing industry could utilize the space for fulfilling large-scale orders.

Arizona’s population and economic growth are both factors that are appealing to companies such as TRATT, according to Mannion.

“It’s no secret that with the influx of both people and companies moving to the Valley… The legislature, our governor and leaders here have created an environment where demand is pent up and there’s just been a lot of development and a lot of projects underway,” he explained.

“The vision here was to build something that was to scale that met the needs in the current marketplace.”
