Valley shelter waiving kitten adoption fees this month

PHOENIX — The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) is waiving kitten adoption fees for the month of July.

The Valley shelter is teaming up with Bissell Pet Foundation to offer $50 adoptions and waiving adoption fees for pets (ages 1 year and older) at its main shelter in Phoenix and its adoption center at Chandler Fashion Center. The event will run from July 5-19.

Adoption hours at the Phoenix shelter, located near 40th and Washington streets, are open Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Hours at the Chandler Fashion Center, near Chandler Boulevard and the 101 freeway, are open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The AAWL is offering the discount on kitten adoptions and waving pets adoption fees due to having 250 kittens in their care, according to a Wednesday announcement.
