Valley Metro bus involved in Phoenix crash that injured 1

PHOENIX — A Valley Metro bus was involved in a five-vehicle crash in Phoenix that sent at least one person to the hospital early Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Armando Carbajal with the Phoenix Police Department, the crash occurred near 9th and Northern avenues.

One of the drivers was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

News cameras showed the bus with a smashed-in front end.

Phoenix police are investigating.

No other details were released.
