Man killed in shooting involving US Marshals in Chandler

The U.S. Marshals Service was involved in a deadly shooting in Chandler while trying to take a suspect into custody.

PHOENIX — A man has died after a shooting involving U.S. Marshals in Chandler, the service announced.

On Tuesday, members of the U.S. Marshals Service’s WANTED Task Force were searching for a man who was wanted for a federal probation violation at a home in Chandler.

Details of deadly shooting involving U.S. Marshals

The suspect was seen leaving the home and was followed by members of the task force, who soon tried to pull the man over near the intersection of Price and Germann roads.

The man proceeded to try to flee. Members of the task force attempted to take the man into custody using less-lethal tools but were unsuccessful.

During the interaction, the suspect pulled out a gun and was shot by law enforcement.

The suspect later died from his injuries.

No members of law enforcement were injured.

The FBI and East Valley Critical Incident Response Team will be investigating this shooting.
