PHOENIX — U.S. 60 between Show Low and Springerville was closed for hours Tuesday at the junction of U.S. 60 and U.S. 77 as dozens of firefighters worked to put out a fire at the Forest Energy pellet plant.

Brent Mix of the Show Low Fire Department said the fire has been contained to piles of logs but is close to local propane businesses.

“We have monitors set up cooling those tanks. They’re not in immediate danger,” Mix said.
