Two million-dollar horse properties for sale in Scottsdale

Two luxury horse properties in Scottsdale were on the market, it was announced Monday, and both were either designed or owned by world champion horseman.

PHOENIX — Two luxury horse properties in Scottsdale were on the market, it was announced Monday, and both were either designed or owned by world champion horsemen.

Both properties are located along Rio Verde Drive, north of McDowell Mountain Regional Park.

Almosta Ranch, the first listing, was priced just shy of $5 million. It was designed by 2017 Western Horseman of the year, Al Dunning.

It sits on an astounding 27 acres divided into three parcels of land, all of which have been appraised and surveyed.

One of the parcels is a 9.71-acre ranch and has a main barn, stud barn and mare motel which adds up to a total of 45 stalls.

The residential portion of the home contained three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 4,333 square feet.

The second home was priced at $1.17 million. It was owned by seven-time World Champion Roper Jake Barnes, who added an arena with a roping chute and eight-stall mare motel to the property.

A pair of 1-acre pastures flank the arena and motel, giving the animals plenty of room to roam.

According to the listing, the 3,646 square-foot home features five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The kitchen was upgraded with maple floors and limestone counter tops.

Both listings were posted by Sotheby’s International Realty.
