Turquoise Alert issued for missing 21-year-old Avondale woman

PHOENIX — A Turquoise Alert was issued Tuesday for a missing 21-year-old woman from Avondale, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

Isabella Comas was last seen by her friend in Avondale near Van Buren Street and Avondale Boulevard on Sunday around 3 p.m. before Comas left to visit her boyfriend near 91st Avenue and Indian School Road in Phoenix.

Comas is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 110 pounds. She is Hispanic and has pink hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a white shirt with a black logo on the front, blue pants with a white line going down the side of them and possibly sandals.

Comas was last seen driving a red Hyundai Sonata with an Arizona license plate that reads: 2EA6LW.

The vehicle was located Tuesday night near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road in Phoenix, but Comas remains missing.

She was reported missing after failing to pick up her friend for work on Monday and not showing up at her job.

Her cellphone was later located through tracking mechanisms and recovered. It showed activity in the following areas:

• At Desert Star Park (86th Drive and Encanto Boulevard)
• Near 89th and Glendale avenues in Glendale
• Near El Mirage Road and Butler Drive in El Mirage

Anybody who may have information about Comas’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Avondale Police Department at 623-333-7001 or call 911.

Turquoise Alerts are issued when a missing person is under the age of 65, local law enforcement has exhausted all available resources, the person is believed to be in danger or in the company of someone potentially dangerous and the circumstances surrounding the disappearance are unexplained or suspicious.
