Trader Joe’s recalls raw walnut products

PHOENIX — Trader Joe’s has begun recalling raw walnuts because of possible salmonella contamination.

The products were distributed nationwide. No illness have been reported.

The FDA said Tuesday lab tests identified
salmonella in some packages of the 16-ounce and 12-ounce Raw California and Organic Walnut
Halves & Pieces. Best used by dates ranged from Oct. 15, 2015 to Dec. 20, 2015.
