Il Bracco, an upscale Italian restaurant chain based in Dallas, Texas, is looking to open its first location in Arizona in Scottsdale.

Plans for the restaurant were approved by the Scottsdale Development Review Board on June 6. Western Addition Restaurant Group, the company that owns and operates Il Bracco, plans on building a more than 6,000-square-foot restaurant on Scottsdale Road, just north of McDonald Drive and across Rose Lane from Fox Restaurant Concepts’ Blanco.

Western Addition opened the first Il Bracco location in Dallas in 2019. The company then expanded to Houston in 2022 and has opened two other restaurant concepts in Dallas and Houston. The restaurant’s menu “draws inspiration from the eclectic culinary and design traditions of Northern Italy,” according to documents field with the city of Scottsdale. Il Bracco offers “classic Italian dishes featuring homemade pastas and breads, as well as fish and fresh daily proteins.”

Plans for the restaurant call for a new single-story, 6,500-square-foot building that will feature deep overhangs and a large shade trellis over the roughly 1,000-square-foot patio that will wrap around the restaurant.
